The Truth About Relationships

Transcript: People have relationship problems everyday.  Everyday we receive emails from people stressed-out about the situation with their boyfriend, their girlfriend, their husband, their wife, their boss, their neighbor, their co-workers, kids, in-laws.  Relationships can be our biggest source of joy and happiness and our biggest source of frustration.

To solve the problem you first need to understand and face the truth.

There are two kinds of truth.  THE truth and YOUR truth.  Relationships and life doesn’t work out the way you want, you need, or you expect.  They work the way they work.  And that’s what’s real.  And that’s THE truth. YOUR truth is what you really want, which can be scary.  And can be so scary that we don’t even admit it to ourselves sometimes.  But until you figure out THE truth and YOUR truth, you’ll be stuck.

We’re here to help, but we won’t give you advice.  Advice doesn’t work! If it was that easy, no one would have any problems.  Advise can contain good information, but you still need to figure out and implement your own solutions.

So, how can we help without giving advice?  Although we can’t tell you what you should do, what’s the perfect solution, we can provide key information and ideas.  But we don’t pretend to know everything ourselves, so we invite suggestions from our viewers as well.

Of course, telling your truth can be risky and has consequences. So you need to decide, is your happiness worth taking a risk?

There’s a risk to telling the truth to someone.  They could laugh at you.  They can get angry with you.  They can reject you. Be hurt or offended by you.  They could even leave you.  Lots of things could happen, and that’s what often holds people back from getting what they really want.  The fear of undesired consequences.  But without risk, you won’t see reward.  It’s really sad when people are unhappy and they don’t have to be.

The truth is, if you do what you’ve always done, you’ll get what you’ve always got.

The truth is, life doesn’t work the way you want, need, or expect.  It works the way it works.

The truth is, if you want a great life and relationships, you’ve got to take risks.

The truth is, you can live happily ever after, but it’s up to you.

So let’s get real about love sex and relationships, so you can get what you really want in your life and relationships.

It doesn’t matter where you’ve been, what matter is where you’re going and how you’ll get there.
